Silestone Countertops

Silestone is Cosentino's quartz surface, one of the best known engineered stones for kitchens. The range spans plain matt colours, soft veining and dramatic marble effects across polished and suede finishes. As engineered quartz it is non-porous, so it resists stains and never needs sealing. Cosentino manufactures the slab. At Videa Stone we supply the material and take it all the way: templating, cutting, sink and hob cut-outs, edge profiling and installation of the finished countertop.

Every Silestone countertop here is templated on site, cut and finished in our own workshop in Latvia, then delivered across Northern Europe and fitted and jointed on arrival. What is Silestone?

Silestone is an engineered quartz surface manufactured by Cosentino. Quartz aggregate is bound with resin and pigment and pressed into slabs, which gives a dense, non-porous material with consistent colour from one slab to the next. It is made for kitchen and bathroom use and comes in polished, matt and textured finishes.

Is Silestone stain resistant?

Yes. Because the surface is non-porous, coffee, red wine, oil and citrus sit on top instead of soaking in, and a wipe with warm soapy water deals with them. Avoid bleach, oven cleaner and paint stripper, which are aggressive enough to dull the finish, and use a trivet for pans straight off the hob.

Can Silestone be used in a bathroom?

Yes. Silestone works well for vanity tops, bath surrounds and shower walls because it does not absorb water and cleans easily. We can cut a vanity top with an undermounted basin cut-out and match it to a splashback from the same slab, so the bathroom reads as one continuous countertop.

Does Videa Stone template and install Silestone countertops?

Yes. We supply Silestone, fabricate it and fit it. Once the kitchen units are in place we template the space, cut and shape the slab to those exact measurements, form the cut-outs, profile the edge to the detail you choose and then install and joint the countertop on site.
