Quartz is an engineered surface built for daily kitchen use: hard, dense and easy to keep clean. Our quartz range covers calm solid colours, marble-look veining and full-body designs where the pattern runs through the full thickness of the slab, so mitred edges stay consistent. Videa Stone supplies, fabricates and installs. We template your space, cut and shape each quartz countertop to your exact measurements, profile the edges and fit the finished countertop on site.
Every quartz countertop here is templated on site, cut and finished in our own workshop in Latvia, then delivered across Northern Europe and fitted and jointed on arrival. Frequently asked questions about quartz countertops
Is quartz suitable for kitchen countertops?
Yes. Quartz is engineered to be non-porous and dense, so it resists staining from wine, coffee and oil and does not need sealing. It stands up well to the knocks of everyday cooking and cleans with warm water and a mild detergent, which makes it one of the most practical countertop materials for a busy kitchen.
Do quartz countertops need sealing?
No. Quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal and no annual treatment to remember. Day to day care is simply a wipe with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, oven cleaner and other strongly alkaline or abrasive products, which can dull the polished finish over time.
Can I put hot pans straight onto a quartz countertop?
No, always use a trivet or pan stand. Quartz is a composite of stone and resin, and the resin is the part that reacts to sudden heat, so a pan taken straight off the hob can mark or discolour the surface. If you cook with very hot cast iron regularly, ask us about ceramic instead.
Does Videa Stone fabricate and install the quartz it supplies?
Yes. We supply the material, fabricate it in our workshop and install it. After you choose a colour we template your kitchen, cut the slab to those measurements, form the cut-outs for sinks and hobs, profile the edges to the detail you want, and return to fit and joint the countertop on site.
