TechniStone colours are engineered quartz designs (crushed natural mineral bound with resin and pressed into a slab) from Technistone, s.r.o. in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, part of the Wilsonart group since 2019. TechniStone is more than 90% natural mineral, with glass or mirror fractions, a small amount of colour pigment and polyester resin. Between colours, what you compare is the look, the finish, the slab size and the thickness. The seven colours our customers order most are Noble Quartzite, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe, Mistral White, Wild Yucca, Mystery White and Bronze Coast.
We fabricate finished TechniStone countertops in our own workshop in Latvia and deliver them regularly to Sweden, Denmark and the rest of Northern Europe. For these seven colours, delivery usually takes 2-3 weeks. Below is how the manufacturer describes each one (where it does), which finishes and slab size it comes in, and how to choose between them.

Noble Quartzite, Mistral White and Mystery White
Noble Quartzite
Technistone describes Noble Quartzite as a light grey shade with a velvety texture and fine veining that highlights a minimalist interior. According to the manufacturer, it blends well with natural materials such as wood and also works with metallic accessories. It comes polished or matt, 20 or 30 mm thick, on a Jumbo 155 slab.
Mistral White
Mistral White belongs to the La Natura collection and comes polished or matt. The manufacturer's colour page has no written description, so judge it from the photos on its product page. Matt is 20 mm only; polished comes in 20 or 30 mm.
Mystery White
Mystery White is from the Serenity collection, polished only, on the Jumbo 160 slab. The manufacturer gives no description but lists three similar colours: Noble Areti Bianco, Brilliant Arabesco and Crystal Calacatta Silva. If Mystery White is close but not quite right, compare it with those.
Glencoe, Bronze Coast and Taj Mahal Gold
Glencoe
In Technistone's words, Glencoe is a warm neutral design with a slightly translucent, marbled background, crossed by thin creamy white veins that give an active, fractured look similar to quartzite. It is one of two Wilsonart collection colours on this list and comes on the largest slab, Jumbo 165, polished or matt.
Bronze Coast
Bronze Coast is described as a marble-like design with a white base and meandering veins that cascade in varying shades of warm brown. It is polished only, 20 or 30 mm, on Jumbo 165.
Taj Mahal Gold
Taj Mahal Gold is a La Natura colour, polished or matt, on Jumbo 155. As with Mistral White, the manufacturer publishes no description, so look at the photos before deciding.
A bolder choice: Wild Yucca
Technistone presents Wild Yucca as an adventurous journey through the desert, with bold contrasting colours. It comes polished only, 20 or 30 mm, on Jumbo 155.
Finish, thickness and slab size: what changes with the colour
TechniStone comes in three finishes. Polished is the most popular; the others are matt and Terra, which has a three-dimensional relief. Not every colour comes in every finish: of the seven above, four are available matt and three are polished only.
Thickness also depends on the colour. Across the range TechniStone lists 12, 20 and 30 mm; of the seven above, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe and Mistral White come in 20 mm only when matt. Slab size matters most in a long kitchen. A countertop with its wall panel of up to about 4 m² can be cut from a single jumbo slab, so the seams between the pieces are practically invisible. We measure the kitchen before we cut the pieces in our countertop fabrication workshop.
Certificates are listed per colour, not per brand. On the manufacturer's pages, Noble Quartzite, Taj Mahal Gold, Mistral White and Wild Yucca list NSF and GreenGuard Gold, among others. Glencoe, Mystery White and Bronze Coast list Origin and NBS Source, which are product databases rather than certificates. If a certificate is a requirement for your project, check it for the exact colour.
Where TechniStone colours can be used
Technistone lists the same applications for all seven colours: kitchen countertops, vanity tops, window sills and bars, interior wall cladding, atypical projects and commercial projects. For a window sill in direct sunlight, though, we do not recommend quartz: it is not UV stable, so its colour can change in the sun. For those sills we recommend a UV-stable material instead, such as Dekton by Cosentino, Laminam or another ceramic surface or natural stone. We also fabricate window sills and stairs. TechniStone is for indoor use only; for an outdoor kitchen, look at Dekton instead.
Project example: Bronze Coast with an integrated sink
We fitted polished Bronze Coast in a kitchen with an integrated sink, a copper tap and a black feature wall. The warm brown in the veins picks up the copper, and the white base keeps the countertop light against the dark wall. More finished kitchens are on our projects page.
How to choose a TechniStone colour
- Start with the room, not the swatch. Wood and metal finishes point to Noble Quartzite, which the manufacturer pairs with both; copper and warm tones point to Bronze Coast or Glencoe.
- Decide on the finish early. If you want matt, among these seven your choice narrows to Noble Quartzite, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe and Mistral White.
- Check the slab against the run. A long run or an island without a seam is easiest on Jumbo 165, which Glencoe and Bronze Coast use.
- Look at the photos. Three of the seven have no written description from the manufacturer, so judge them from the photos on their product pages.
If you are still choosing between brands, our comparison of TechniStone vs Silestone by Cosentino covers recipe, slab format and colour range. Care is the same for every colour: everyday non-abrasive kitchen cleaners, no products with hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide or hydrogen peroxide, a trivet under hot pans and a board for cutting. Frequently asked questions about TechniStone colours
Which TechniStone colours are the most popular?
Among our customers, the most popular TechniStone colours are Noble Quartzite, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe, Mistral White, Wild Yucca, Mystery White and Bronze Coast. Delivery for these seven usually takes 2-3 weeks.
Do all TechniStone colours perform the same?
Technistone lists the same advantages on every colour page: easy maintenance and cleaning, high resistance to scratches, stains and natural acids, and a waterproof surface. Every colour is more than 90% natural mineral with glass or mirror fractions, pigment and polyester resin; the manufacturer lists recycled content only for selected colours. What differs from colour to colour is the finish, the slab size, the available thickness and the certificates listed. Check those for the exact colour you choose.
Which TechniStone colours come in a matt finish?
Of the seven most popular colours, Noble Quartzite, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe and Mistral White come in matt; in matt, Taj Mahal Gold, Glencoe and Mistral White are 20 mm only. Wild Yucca, Mystery White and Bronze Coast are polished only.
Which TechniStone colour goes with a wooden kitchen?
Technistone says Noble Quartzite, a light grey with fine veining, blends well with natural materials such as wood and also works with metallic accessories. For warmer wood tones, compare it with Glencoe, a warm neutral with creamy white veins.
Can a TechniStone countertop be used outdoors?
No. TechniStone is made for indoor use: kitchen countertops, vanity tops, wall cladding and stairs. Quartz is not UV stable, so its colour can change in direct sunlight; for an outdoor kitchen or a sun-exposed window sill, Dekton is the material to look at.
