TechniStone is a quartz surface manufacturer whose slabs run from quiet solid colours to strongly veined marble effects, including full-body designs where the pattern carries through the whole thickness. Being engineered quartz, a mix of crushed stone and resin, it is non-porous, meaning it does not absorb liquids, needs no sealing and shrugs off the stains a kitchen throws at it. TechniStone makes the slab; Videa Stone supplies it, fabricates it and installs it, from templating and cut-outs through edge profiling to the fitted countertop in your kitchen.

Every TechniStone countertop here is templated on site, cut and finished in our own workshop in Latvia, then delivered across Northern Europe and fitted and jointed on arrival. What is TechniStone made of?

TechniStone is engineered quartz: crushed quartz aggregate bound with resin and pigment, pressed and cured into a slab. That composition is what gives it a consistent, repeatable appearance from slab to slab, unlike natural stone, and a dense, non-porous surface that copes with daily kitchen use.

Do TechniStone countertops need sealing?

No. TechniStone is non-porous, so there is no sealer to apply and no yearly maintenance ritual. Wipe spills as they happen and clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Keep bleach, drain cleaner and abrasive pads away from the surface, and use a trivet under pans taken straight off the heat.

Is TechniStone suitable for a busy family kitchen?

Yes, it is one of the easiest surfaces to live with. The stain resistance means wine, coffee, turmeric and oil wipe away rather than soak in, and the colour is consistent across the run, so an island and a back run will match. The one habit to keep is using a trivet for hot pans.

Can TechniStone be used for splashbacks and window sills?

Yes. We regularly cut TechniStone for splashbacks, window sills, shelves, bathroom vanity tops and table tops in the same material as the countertop, which keeps a room visually consistent. Because we fabricate in house, those pieces are cut from your chosen slab at the same time, so colour and pattern carry across the whole set.
